Nickelback’s ‘Here and Now‘ has debuted at No. 2 on this weeks Billboard Top 200 Chart selling 227,000 copies. The band’s last album, ‘Dark Horse‘ debuted at No. 3 selling 326,000 copies its first week.
Daughtry’s third studio release moved 129,000 copies debuting at No. 8. Their sophomore album ‘Leave This Town‘ debuted at No. 1 selling 269,000 copies.
James Durbin’s debut album ‘ Memories of a Beautiful Disaster‘ sold 28,000 copies debuting at No. 36.

Album sales rose 39% from last week and are up 2% for the year with 278.71 million albums sold.
Digital track sales are up 2% from last week and up 10% for the year.
Who said rock was dead?
Tell me about it. I think MTV is trying to kill it right now, but it will never die. Looking at the success of the last releases for major rock bands (Five Finger Death Punch, Evanescence, Daughtry, Nickelback, etc.), rock seems to be alive and well.
Looks like more people are buying music again. Maybe a sign of the economic times or a population increase?
