Not impressed… Three “heavy” songs and the rest are just ballads/soft-epic-sounding songs?

Well, I guess some will enjoy it, but I’m going to miss Us and Them a lot. Thankfully I’ve never been a big Shinedown fan.

Sounds like it could be a good album. I want to hear more before I make my complete opinion. Sadly, Us and Them still is their best album, however, there are always a some gems on each album.

I don’t get it. I can’t stand all this Epic/Anthem music that is coming out by everyone. It’s very cheeeeey! Just write some kick ass rock songs and be done with it. P.S ……….. One Disturbed is enough!!

Us and Them to date is my favorite Shinedown album as well. With that being said, the snippets provided do not cover every song on the cd so we don’t know the balance of ballads to hard rock songs. Also, looking back at U&T, it included some of the ‘softest’ songs they have ever recorded – including arguably their best song “Shed Some Light”. The new cd sounds very promising!

I like all of the songs so far! However, the song names aren’t very original and have been used quite often by other bands recently, but oh well. It’s the sound that counts to me.

  6. FishyTails says:

The album is probably soft because Brent can’t sing like he used to.

  7. NinjaNick says:

Sounds pretty good. Not a huge fan, but I do like the clips of Adrenaline and Enemies.

  8. shambles says:

Well I loved their soft stuff in Us and Them but this sounds just like… I can’t say “uninspired” but certainly is a bit too “epic-sounding” for my taste. I think they rocked so hard with their southern-rock style, but since Jasin left their guitar work sounds more like Saliva than Shinedown…
