Album sales are up 15% from last week, but down 10% from the same week last year. Year to date sales rose 1% compared to last year with 307.75 million albums sold.
Digital track sales are up 4% from last week and 6% from the same week in 2010. To date 1.19 billion tracks have been downloaded, up 9%.
Papa Roach will begin work on their eighth studio album with Sixx:A.M. vocalist James Michael producing. A late 2012 release is expected.
Sixx:A.M. are offering a free download of the track “Codependence” on iTunes. The band’s ‘7‘ acoustic EP is available digitally today.
