Album sales fell 5% from last week, but are up 5% compared the the same week in 2010. Year to date sales are up 3% with 215.76 million sold.
Digital track sales are down 1% from last week and up 8% from the same week last year. To date sales are up 11% with 840.92 million tracks sold.
Staind have debuted at No. 5 on this weeks Billboard Top 200 Chart selling 47,000 copies of their new self-titled album. The band’s 2008 release ‘The Illusion of Progress‘ sold 92,000 copies in its opening week debuting at No. 3.
Bush’s ‘The Sea of Memories‘ moved 20,000 copies debuting at No. 18. Their last album, 2001′s ‘Golden State‘, debuted at No. 22 with 55,000 in sales.

Digital track sales fell 1% from last week, but are up 6% from the same week last year. To date sales are up 11% at 910.60 million.
Staind will stream their performance at the Best Buy Theater in New York tonight at 6pm PT / 9pm ET here. The concert will commemorate the 10th Anniversary of 9/11 with ticket proceeds being donated to the families of 9/11 victims.
